Please give me a photo and let's see. Given the photo, the movie was still not a dream. That is when I got the letter from Venu Chettan;” the actress remembers.
She also explained the cinematic incidents related to the journey. “He asked me to go to Trivandrum to see the director. So by the time my father and mother and I arrived in Trivandrum, Aravindan had gone to Delhi for some purpose. We went back. A few days later, the shooting started in Thirunavaya and Venu Chettan's letter came again asking me to come. That's how I acted in that movie. I had no dialogues in it. There was the only expression. Balachandra Menon Chettan called for the film Radha Enna Penkutty after seeing the performance. That’s the stepping stone to commercial movies;” Jalaja added.
Jalaja added that she has done a lot of good roles since then and won the State Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film Venal.
