Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan, two Kollywood actors took their next step in life recently. They wed on November 28, 2022. There were only close friends and relatives invited to the wedding.
Manjima admitted in an interview that she also experienced fat-shaming at her wedding. People have fat shamed the actress on social media. Some have even made offensive comments to her in person.
She said in an interview that, bodyshaming does not bother her anymore. She added that, "Even at our wedding, a few people commented about it. Earlier, it used to hurt. But now I am comfortable with my body and I know that I can lose weight when I want to. I am into fitness and I am happy with myself. When there is a professional commitment that requires me to lose weight, I’ll definitely do it. I’m not sure why it should affect others.”
Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan starred together in Devarattam in 2019. It was very recently they made their relationship public. Gautham is the son of well-known actor Karthik. He was introduced by famed director Mani Ratnam in Kadal. Manjima made her film debut in Oru Vadakkan Selfie in Malayalam. She has appeared in a number of other movies, including FIR.
