After the multiple delays over the last eight months, actor Nikhil's Arjun Suravaram has finally hit the screens last Friday. Even though it has arrived late, the film made sure to connect with the audience and is having a good run at the box office. Nikhil Siddharth, who went off the track with the last couple of films, is now back in form.
Arjun Suravaram is an official remake of the Tamil film Kanithan. T.N. Santhosh, who directed the original, also helmed the Telugu version. Santhosh is quite happy with the reception Arjun Suravaram is getting from the viewers. The young filmmaker worked as an associate for AR Murugadoss for the films like Seventh Sense and Thuppaki. He said that when he showed Kanithan to Murugadoss, the latter has apparently advised him not to lose a chance of remaking it in Telugu if he gets one.
Thus, Santhosh decided to helm the film himself in Telugu. The director also thanked Nikhil who underwent physical transformation to play the role of an investigative journalist. Santhosh also stated that he has plans to make a sequel for this film. The director, however, clarified that he will do it later. Right now, he is working on another script.
