Now, Vijay Sethupathi says that the inspiration to act in the film was a cartoon. Vijay Sethupathi said this in an interview with Club FM as part of the promotion of the film Mamanithan.
“We hear and see many things. One day I was returning from work at eight o'clock at night. While walking I saw a cartoon by L'Oreal and Hardy. In it I saw them saying ‘I am a bird’. After saying this for several days, one day they turned into a bird.
For about a year and a half since then, before I went to bed I kept saying that I would be a good actor. I also believed that it would happen someday. But there was a feeling that nothing would happen, because my family was living off my salary.
Yet I just kept saying it. I have a feeling that if they can grow wings, then something will happen to me too;”said Vijay Sethupathi.
Directed by Seenu Ramaswamy, Vijay Sethupathi will play the lead role in Mamanithan. Yuvan Shankar Raja and R.K Suresh produce the film Mamanithan Under the banner of YSR Productions and Studio 9. KPAC Lalitha and Guru Somasundaram play two important roles in the film which is set in a rural setting.
