Actor Aftab Shivdasani
has seen a lot of ups and downs in his career. One good thing is that he never gave up. The actor recently launched his own production banner with his wife Nin Dusanj and at the launch, he was asked to speak about the ongoing nepotism debate that has taken the industry by storm in recent times. Aftab has made it clear that he has always maintained a distance from the ‘camps’ in Bollywood.
Talking about it to a leading daily, Aftab said, “This groupism was called as campism in the early 2000s where people were saying this one belongs to YRF, Bhatt, or other camps. I was never subjected to this as I always worked with a wide spectrum of producers and I was friendly to all but never close.”
Aftab further added that this industry is all about how one conducts themselves. The actor started his acting career as a child in the industry, has done a good number of films. “ When they had a role, they would call me, and then I would go and meet them. I did 9 films with Vikram Bhatt, 5 or 6 films with RGV
. Yet, I was never a part of their camps. Karan Johar
is even a distant relative of mine but I have never been close to anyone. I've been nice and friendly to everyone and have no enemies.”
