If Mohanlal's Alone Goes OTT, We Will Not Accept The Next Film To Be Released In Theatres,The Theatre Owners' Association FEUOK Is Against Early Release On OTT Platforms.

Theater owners' organisation FEUOK opposed the delivery of released films to OTT within 42 days. FEUOK announced that the films of such production companies will no longer be screened in theatres. They added that they would not cooperate with the stars acting in such films. FEUOK said that films should only be given to OTT after 56 days.

FEUOK also took a stand against announcing the OTT release date of the films while releasing the trailer and teaser of the films that are being screened in theatres. The office-bearers were speaking to the media after the Executive Committee of FEUOK.

Currently, the OTT period for a theatrical release is 42 days. According to FEUOK officials, the audience is not prepared to come to the theatre knowing that the film will be released in OTT earlier.

"The audience comes to the theatre only for a movie that requires a theatrical experience." Others are waiting for OTT. This is a big problem for small budget films. In this one case, the films should be given to OTT only after eight weeks, "FEUOK said."

People come to the theatre only for movies like KGF, Vikram, etc., which give a great theatre experience. If it goes like this, the theatres will have to close. Earlier, the Film Chamber did not consider the demand that the time limit for giving movies to OTT should be increased to 56 days.

If Mohnlal's Alone goes OTT, we will not accept the next film to be released in theatres. FEUOK officials have stated that they will not provide the film OTT to people who are unable to live. We want any film to be screened for two, three, or four weeks, but people don't come to see it, "said FEUOK officials.

The officials stated that the producers who register the title in the Film Chamber should not violate this and will inform the Film Chamber in writing about this tomorrow. With a handful of new films coming up like Pappan, Thallumala, Gold etc., FEUOK is taking drastic measures.
