Alencier said he did not try to make fun of the WCC. He said that he was responding to a nonsensical question asked by the media. He added that whether there were any questions from them related to the promotion of the film. His response was to Cannes Channel Media.

Earlier, Alencier’s response to a media question about the female characters in the film Heaven was also discussed. Alencier’s comment came after Suraj Venjaramoodu was asked by the media about the role of actor Vinaya Prasad in the film.
“Vinaya Prasad Chechi's character is my mother. My wife is not mentioned in the movie, just saying one thing. There is no heroine in this;” said Suraj.
Alencier’s comment after this, referring to the WCC, had gained attention in social media. “I did not receive a call from the WCC. You're been asking questions for a long time. I did not get anyone from the WCC to play Suraj Venjaramoodu's wife, you write; ” Alencier said.
