While no official announcement has been made, it is highly likely that filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's next film would star Thalapathy Vijay and will be titled 'Thalapathy 67.' With admirers continually inquiring about his future project, it appears that the young filmmaker has decided to step away from social media until the formal announcement of his next project. Lokesh Kanagaraj posted,

Lokesh Kanagaraj had announced that his next film will be a rooted intense action picture, without confirming that it will be with actor Vijay. The story for the film is supposed to be an old script that he wrote a long time ago and is currently revising. He also said that he will most likely continue to work with the same technical crew.
