The prizes for Telugu and Kannada films were declared at the 10th South Indian International Awards (SIIMA). The festival spans two days and features the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema industries from the South.
Tovino Thomas and Simbu (Silambarasan TR) won the Best Actor Awards for Malayalam and Tamil. They were awarded for the movies Minnal Murali and Maanaadu. Besides the regular awards in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries, SIIMA declared special awards in two new categories. Hansika Motwani received the Decade of Excellence in South Indian Cinema award.
