Interesting update on Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan!

It is known news that director Maniratnam is working on his dream project Ponniyin Selvan, a film based on Kalki Krishnamoorthy's epic novel set in the backdrop of the Chola Kingdom.

As per the latest update, the film will have 12 songs with all of them to be written by Vairamuthu and music will be composed by AR Rahman.

Ponniyin Selvan features the stellar cast from all over India, which includes Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Amala Paul, Keerthy Suresh, Jayaram, and Mohan Babu.

The film regular shooting starts from the end of December and produced by Lyca Productions.
