Irrfan Khan plays a single father and a feminist in Angrezi Medium, says the film's director Homi

'Angrezi Medium' is an upcoming Hindi film starring Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan. Touted to be the spin-off to 2017 released comedy film, 'Hindi Medium.' Homi Adajania is helming this project. The first part has become a big hit when it released and this time, the makers took great care in bringing up the second part of the movie in an interesting manner. The film's director recently interacted with the media and revealed many interesting things about the movie.

Deepak Dobriyal, Kiku Sharda, Ranvir Shorey, and Dimple Kapadia are playing crucial roles in the film. The recently released trailer showcased that Irrfan Khan is going to play the role of a new age father Champak Bansal.

When talking about the change in the way the fathers are getting portrayed in Indian cinema lately, director Homi said, "Fathers in Indian cinema look like strict patriarchs and often getting stereotyped. But, in this film, Irrfan Khan played the role of a sensitive, single father who is a feminist. He is a father, mother and also a friend to his daughter. His unconditional love will touch our souls". In the current times, a father putting himself in the shoes of a feminist is rare and different. Let us hope the audiences receive the character well.

Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and London Calling Production is bankrolling this project. Pritam Vikram is composing tunes for the film. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on 20 March 2020.
