Superstar Rajinikanth announced his political entry two years ago but there is no trace of him starting a political party. The actor has been making a statement on and off which confuses the people of the state whether he is pro-BJP or not. Of late, the actor has been very careful in voicing out his opinion.
On January 5, a group of masked goons entered the prestigious JNU campus in Delhi and attacked the students and professors viciously. Many celebrities and the general public spoke against the attack and condemned it. In a surprise announcement, it rumored that Rajinikanth will address the media regarding the JNU attack.
As soon as the news began making the rounds, Rajinikanth’s PR Riaz Ahmed decided to put an end to it with his official statement. He wrote, “.Thalaivar #SuperstarRajinikanth is shooting for #Thalaivar168 in Hyderabad. Therefore, I request the media to not speculate or believe the news regarding Rajini Sir's Press Meet today. (sic)”
Superstar Rajinikanth is presently shooting for his 168th film which is being directed by Siruthai Siva. He is also awaiting the release of his upcoming film Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The cop thriller which has Rajini in two roles will grace the screens worldwide on January 9.
