Nandamuri Balakrishna is popular for his commercial potboilers. One of the biggest hits in his career was the 2010 film Simha. This Boyapati directorial film got released when Balakrishna was going through a rough phase in his career. Simha also remained as the biggest hit of the year 2010. Simha featured Balakrishna in a dual role. Nayanthara, Namitha, and Sneha Ullal played the female leads in this movie. The story revolves around Dr. Narasimha and his son Srimannarayana. Especially, the flashback episodes of the film are the major highlights of the film. Balakrishna's impeccable screen-presence, accompanied by his superb dialogues are just a treat to watch. People still remember the dialogues of Simha. Such was the impact of those lines written by Boyapati Srinu. This is also the first film in the combination of Boyapati and Balakrishna. After this movie, they teamed up for the 2014 film Legend and now they are working for their third project together.

Simha can be also considered as Balakrishna's comeback film as it gave him a super hit after a gap of six years. The film completed 50 days in 338 centers and 100 days in 92 centers. In its total run, Simha collected more than Rs. 30 crores at the box office.
