Jacob Varghese sheds light on Chambal content controversy

Chambal movie directed by Jacob Varghese created a tremendous buzz after the release of its trailer. It has been all over the news social media and everything that some shots in this movie can be related to IAS DK Ravi’s life. Satish Ninasam playing the male lead, he playing the role of IAS Subhash. Even Ravi's mother lodged the complaint against the makers with the Film Chamber.
Director of Chambal Jacob Varghese sheds light regarding the controversy relating to the content. The film is a work of fiction, the scenes in this movie taken from the lives of several IAS officers. This film will give the extreme thrill and we had also come up with the non-linear screenplay which will give the viewers fresh experience when they watch the film. We have also put a disclaimer stating this film is a fictional work, have no false intentions nor to misrepresent anybody. We get to see many incidents in the newspaper, around yourself. I had taken several incidents which happen in our daily life and tried to depict the same on screen.
Varghese thought of naming the project Subhash after Subhas Chandra Bose but the title was not available. Then came up with Chambal and cling to Subhash as hero's name in the movie. Chambal is like an analogy, the terrifying scenes happen in that region is very much similar to what happens downtown in this film, the director signs off.
