Since her name was revealed in connection with a money extortion case involving con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Jacqueline Fernandez has captured everyone's attention. The ED had called the actress on multiple occasions to collect her statement for the case. Several rumors about her dating the con artist have also circulated on social media, but Jacqueline has consistently remained silent and requested privacy. The actress has been given temporary bail, according to the most recent news in ETimes.
According to reports, the Delhi High Court has called Jacqueline Fernandez today in connection with the Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case. Prashant Patil, her attorney, claims that "Jacqueline has been granted interim bail. This appearance is merely procedural. The next date to appear before the Court is October 22". The actress's attorney also explained that they had submitted a standard bail application and that the ED now needed to submit a response. Additionally, he said that she has been working with law enforcement ever since the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case brought up her name. The next hearing date has already been set by the court for October 22. Her normal bail plea will be discussed in court on this date. On that date, the documents will be scrutinized as well.
Jacqueline Fernandez has been charged in the second additional charge sheet that was only recently submitted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). As witnesses in the case, Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline had their statements recorded. The ED has previously seized fixed deposits belonging to Fernandez worth Rs 7.2 crore. The ED classified the actresses' receipt of these gifts and properties as crime proceeds.
As reported by NDTV, the ED claims that he gave Fernandez and another Bollywood actress, Nora Fatehi, extravagant presents and fancy cars. According to the charge sheet, Jacqueline Fernandez confessed to receiving presents from the conman, including five watches, 20 pieces of jewelry, 65 pairs of shoes, 47 outfits, 32 purses, 4 Hermes bags, nine paintings, and a Versace dinnerware set during questioning by the investigation team.
