Jailer, superstar Rajinikanth's 169th film, is expected to begin production in August this year. The film, directed by rookie director Nelson Dilipkumar, is billed as a comedic thriller. According to the most recent reports, Jailer's pre-production work has begun.

 
According to insiders close to the Rajinikanth starrer, the project's set work has been underway at Hyderabad's iconic Ramoji Rao film city. These sets, designed specifically for Jailer, will serve as the film's primary setting. According to reports, the rest of the scenes would be shot in Chennai.
 
If all goes according to plan, the Rajinikanth project will begin production in Hyderabad in the second week of August, with a special pooja and launch ceremony. According to rumors, director Nelson Dilipkumar and his crew are still working on the film's casting. Once the remainder of the cast is set, there will be a significant update.
 
Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar has revealed that he would play a crucial part in Jailer. As a result, the much-anticipated film will be the famous star's first onscreen cooperation with superstar Rajinikanth.
 
Sivakarthikeyan, the renowned actor, is supposedly portraying the younger version of Rajinikanth's role in the film. Anirudh Ravichander will write the songs and score for Jailer. Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Yogi Babu, and others appear in supporting roles. Kalanithi Maaran is producing the highly awaited film under the label Sun Pictures.
