This year, the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) enters its 50th edition. Thus, the organizers of the festival are planning to make it a bigger event by screening a lot of films made across 76 countries. The festival begins on the 20th of November and ends on the 28th of November.
Every year, the organizers of IFFI screen a few films of a particular filmmaker under the section, 'Filmmaker in Focus.' This year, Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike got selected for this honor and some of his best works will get showcased in the festival.
Those films are 13 Assassins, Audition, Dead or Alive, First Love and Ichi the Killer. These are some of his classics which every movie lover admires and most of them have even watched them. But experiencing them on the big screen will give make us high for sure.
Takashi Miike made his film debut in 1991 and made over 100 video, theatrical and TV productions till now. Some of his best works include the above-mentioned films, Blade of the Immortal and Crows Zero. All the Miike fans are eagerly waiting to watch these gems on the big screen. Just like every year, even this time, Goa is hosting the festival.
