After the success of Driving License, director Jean Paul Lal is all set to begin his next venture, Tsunami. Based on a true story, the movie launched on 12 February with a puja function held at St. George Church, Edappally. Balu Varghese is set to essay the lead character in the film. Actors Innocent, Mukesh, Aju Varghese, and Suresh Krishna will handle pivotal roles.
Actor Asif Ali, filmmakers Major Ravi, Priyanandan, Roshan Andrews, Sibi Malayil, scenarists Sachy, Benny P Nayarambalam, and many other celebrities showed up at the event. Jean’s father actor-director-screenwriter Lal is penning the script for Tsunami. The movie is being produced by Allan Antony under the banner of Panda Dad Productions.
Alex J Pulikkal will handle the cinematography while Ratheesh Raj will handle the edits. Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair will manage the music for the movie. Filming of Tsunami will begin by February 25. The initial schedule will begin shooting in the Irinjalakuda-Thrissur region. Lal made hit scripts including those of 'Ramji Rao Speaking', 'Godfather' and 'In Harihar Nagar'. Jean and Lal collaborated earlier for the ‘Honey Bee’ franchise. But ‘Tsunami’ is their first movie as a director and scenarist.
Jean is well known for his films 'Honey Bee' and ‘Honey Bee 2’. Jean’s recent directorial, ‘Driving License’, hit the screens a month ago and emerged a successful movie in his career. It received praise from the audience and the critics.
