The popular Malayalam film Nayattu, which came out a few months ago, is getting three remakes. Reports suggest that the Malayalam film will have Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil remakes.

Bollywood actor and producer John Abraham acquired the rights to the Hindi remake of Nayattu. Allu Arjun has acquired the rights for the Telugu remake of the film. Nayattu director Martin Prakat confirmed this in an interview with an entertainment portal.

The news that Nayattu will have a remake in Tamil came yesterday. According to reports, Gautham Vasudev Menon will direct the film. But there is no official announcement on it yet. Nayattu was one of five must-see movies from streaming platforms selected by the New York Times.

Nayattu was released in theatres on April 8. With the arrival of the second wave of Covid, the theatrical release of the film had to be stopped. The film was then released on Netflix. The political thriller opened to widespread acclaim. The film has Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, and Nimisha Sajayan playing the lead roles.

Earlier John Abraham confirmed that he is producing another Malayalam thriller Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Written and directed by Sachy, the movie starred Prithviraj and Biju Menon as the lead actors. Abraham has already backed a series of critically praised films, including Vicky Donor, Batla House, Madras Cafe, and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.
