John Abraham's Satyamev Jayate 2's release date postponed due to COVID-19 crisis in India

The John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer film Satyamev Jayate 2 will no longer be releasing on Eid this year. On Tuesday, the makers released an official statement announcing the postponement of the release date of the film. Now, Satyamev Jayate 2 will no longer be clashing with Salman Khan's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which is releasing on May 13th.

In the official statement, the makers wrote, "In these unprecedented times, nothing matters more than the safety and health of our countrymen and patrons. Our film ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ will now release on a later date. Till then let’s keep our masks on and do our best to keep our loved ones and ourselves out of harm’s way. Jai Hind. - Team SMJ2." A few days back, Salman Khan had announced that his film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will not get postponed and it sold the rights to Zee Studios. The film will release simultaneously in the theatres and on Zee Plex's Pay Per View platform. The trailer of the film has been released and it is already getting praises from the audience. Speaking to the news agency IANS earlier, Divya had told them, "I am happy to be a part of 'Satyameva Jayate 2' along with John Abraham. He is such a good co-star. I share a very happy and beautiful relationship with him and he is really giving as a co-actor. I think our chemistry is also looking really good in the film."
