Junior Bachchan in talks for a lead role in remake of French Film

There were several films in Bollywood inspired from other language movies and adapted as per Bollywood style. Shailesh R Singh who bank rolled films like Simran, Tanu Weds Manu, Aligarh, Madaari had bought the rights of French film Nuit Blanche. He is planning to adapt this French film to Bollywood sensibilities. There are also rumors that Junior Bachchan is in talks for a lead role in this French remake.
 
One of the sources confirms that 'Shailesh has bought the rights of Nuit Blanche. This film is cop based thriller which definitely suits to Bollywood with a racy screenplay. Makers approached Abhishek Bachchan to play the male lead. However no official statement from the makers concerning this news. There are other speculations that Saif Ali Khan will be cast in this film and directed by Bejoy Nambiar.
 
Nuit Blanche is the story of a detective who steals from a drug lord only to be told that he is supposed to return the stolen merchandise or his son’s life is at great risk. This film was remade in English starring Jamie Foxx directed by Baran bo Odar. The French film initially released in 2011. This particular film was remade in Tamil and Telugu titled Thoonga Vanam starred Universal Hero Kamal Hassan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Sampath Raj, Madhu Shalini directed by Rajesh M Selva which in turn dubbed into Hindi under the title Khakee - The Real Police.
