One of the greatest directors of the Telugu film industry is K. Raghavendra Rao. This veteran director has made more than 100 films in his career. Celebrating his illustrious career and his services to the cinema, Reva University of Bangalore has conferred him with a lifetime achievement award.
Raghavendra Rao received this award Monday night from the hands of Reva's chairman Dr. P. Shyama Raju, at an event that happened at the university. The legendary director said that he is very much elated to receive the award in the presence of many dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, Raghavendra Rao said that even though he received many awards in his life, this award will always be a special one for him. He stated that about 54% of the Indian population consists of the youth and urged all the youngsters to serve the country in various positions. He advised them not to forget their motherland even if they work abroad.
Former ISRO chairman Dr. Kasturi Rangan received the lifetime achievement award and DRDO chairman Dr. Satish Reddy recovered the Reva excellence award at the very same stage. On the career front, Raghavendra Rao is now bankrolling a film with Naga Shaurya as the lead hero.
