Kamal Haasan and Yuvan Shankar Raja wish Ilaiyaraja on his birthday

Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja is celebrating his 78th birthday on Wednesday (June 2). On this special day, social media is full of his fans sharing photos and videos of their favourite song of the musician. Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to wish his dear friend Ilaiyaraaja on his birthday. He shared a photo of himself in which he can be seen hugging Ilaiyaraaja. He wrote, "Ilaiyaraaja is a young man for music. A youngster at heart. He translates memorable events into songs. My heartfelt birthday wishes to the maestro who connects millions of hearts." The photo was taken on the stage of Ilaiyaraaja 75 concert, which took place in 2019.

Similarly, Ilaiyaraaja's youngest son Yuvan Shankar Raja took to Instagram to share an adorble video of his father playing with grandchildren. In the video, Ilaiyaraaja can be seen holding his granddaughter Ziya's hands as they played Happy Birthday song on the piano with his grandson. Wishing his father, Yuvan Shankar Raja wrote, "Happy birthday daddy #throwback #maamanithan (sic)," with multiple heart emojis. Ilaiyaraaja is working on the music of his director Vetri Maaran's film with Soori and Vijay Sethupathi.
