Kamal Haasan Arrives At 5 AM, Says Rakul Preet Singh, Co-Star In Indian 2; Reveals Details About His Character

The movie Indian 2, on which superstar Kamal Haasan and Rahul Preet are currently working, has generated a lot of hype among fans. Rakul Preet Singh, the project's leading actress, recently revealed details about the veteran actor's character and preparation for it, while some moviegoers are anxiously awaiting the movie's debut.

Rakul Preet Singh recently spoke with Free Press Journal and shared details about the movie Indian 2 and Kamal Haasan's part. She disclosed that Haasan is portraying a 90-year-old guy in the movie's lead role. “He (Kamal Haasan) has prosthetics in this film too. He is playing a 90-year-old character in this film. The prosthetic makeup takes four to five hours. He reaches at 5 a.m. so that he is on the sets by 10 a.m.”, she affirmed.

The actress praised his commitment and continued, “Removing the prosthetic makeup takes two hours and it’s so hot in Chennai but he does not care. I think that’s a different generation. I think in 100 years, he has been part of cinema for more than 60 years. More than 75 percent of the time he has existed, he has been part of cinema. Nobody knows cinema better than him.”

Given that it is a follow-up to his earlier blockbuster film Indian, the upcoming major is expected to be a game-changer for the actor. The film's producers haven't made an official declaration regarding its release date. But if the cast and crew are successful in finishing the last part of the filming on schedule, the movie might be released around Dussehra or Diwali in 2023. Kajal Aggarwal will play the lead role in the movie alongside Haasan and Rakul. Multiple languages are reportedly being released for the S. Shankar-directed film.
