The film will be produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and Udhayanidhi Stalin's production banners. AR Rahman composed the soundtrack for the film. Dhananjayan reportedly stated after meeting with Kamal Haasan that the actor narrated the story of 'KH 234'. He added that it is a good film. He went on to say that Kamal Haasan is very excited about the film.

The film's production will begin in 2023 and the movie will be large-scale. Dhananjayan also stated that the film is a huge undertaking. He added that the movie will set a new standard in Indian cinema. Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are reuniting after a long hiatus. They last collaborated on the film "Nayakan," which was released in 1987. Kamal Haasan was most recently seen in 'Vikram'. He is currently filming 'Indian 2'. He is also working on a few projects with directors Mahesh Narayanan and Pa Ranjith.
