Kamal Haasan To Launch Fashion Brand In Chicago In November

During the finals of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4, Kamal Haasan launched his fashion brand, House Khaddar, which aims at promoting Indian handloom. He also gifted the contestants of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4 outfits in khadi. All the outfits that Kamal Haasan wore outfits, designed by Amritha Ram, which belong to Khadi. Now, it has been made official that Kamal Haasan will be launching his clothing line in Chicago in the US. The launch will happen close to November 7, around his birthday. He, along with designer Amritha Ram, will launch the Fall Winter Collection 2021. The catchphrase reads, "Fashion is being civil yet disobedient."

In a statement, Kamal Haasan said, "What we are proud of is that we have chosen a material which made a world political statement for India. Khadi is very closely associated with our history and we take pride in it. From a pure comfort point of view, khadi is an all-weather textile. It can take on the discontent of the winter as well as the sweat and toil of the summer. Our endeavor is to make khadi relatable to the young urban market and uplift the weavers and artisans who create this beautiful art.”
