Kangana Ranaut criticises actor turned politician Kamal Hassan for putting a price tag on Household work done by women.

While Kangana Ranaut engages in a bitter spat on Twitter with the Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh, she has now decided to also oppose the likes of Kamal Hassan and Shashi Tharoor. Recently actor turned politician Kamal Hassan suggested introducing a salary for women who regularly engage in household chores. Kamal Hassan said that he believes this would give women more rights over their money as well as help them gain more recognition for the work that they do.

Soon after Hassan said this, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor also took to Twitter to extend his support for Kamal Hassan’s idea. He wrote, “I welcome @ikamalhaasan's idea of recognizing housework as a salaried profession, w/the state govt paying a monthly wage to homemakers. This will recognize & monetize the services of women homemakers in society, enhance their power & autonomy & create near-universal basic income."
