Kangana Ranaut frequently makes headlines, whether it's for her films or her blunt comments on social media. She has been making news more frequently lately for the latter. She recently compared herself to the late vocalist Lata Mangeshkar by emphasizing a similar trait they both had.
Kangana posted a video of renowned singer Asha Bhosle discussing her sister Lata Mangeshkar's potential for a reality show in one of her Instagram stories. Bhosle is heard remarking that despite being promised a huge amount of money, Mangeshkar never sang at the weddings of wealthy people.
She was given a million dollars to perform at a wedding, Bhosle reveals in the video. She was supposed to simply show herself for two hours in front of these dominant groups.
In her story, Kangana responded to the video by writing, “Agree. Even I have denied weddings or private parties, even though I have the most popular songs. Denied an insane amount of money. Glad to come across the video. Lata ji, truly so inspiring.”
This year, Kangana appeared in the action movie Dhaakad. The picture was a box office flop. She appeared on the reality show Lock Upp as well. She is now working on Emergency. The 1975 Emergency that was imposed in India is the inspiration for the movie. Kangana will not only be starring in the movie as the former prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi, but she will also be directing it.
