Kangana Ranaut Shares Throwback Photo With Anurag Basu From Life In A Metro Set

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took a stroll down memory lane and shared an old photo of herself with filmmaker Anurag Basu. The black and white photo was shared on her Instagram Stories on Saturday night. In the photo, Kangana is seen sitting next to Anurag on a couch. Kangana captioned the post, expressing her gratitude towards Anurag for launching her in the movie Life in a Metro. The faid film was released in 2007. In the photo, Kangana can be seen wearing a black and white dress with her hair tied back in a ponytail. Anurag is in a white shirt and blue jeans, pointing a finger at Kangana. The two were seen having an intense conversation in the picture.

Kangana expressed her appreciation for Anurag's contribution to her success by saying that he is a "mad genius". She shared that her favorite phrase of his was "Tu chup kar (You keep quiet)." In the same post, Kangana also shared her disbelief at having surpassed the shelf life of an actress by completing 17 years in the industry. Life in a Metro marked Kangana's second appearance in a Bollywood movie. It also starred Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sensharma, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles. Kangana will next appear in Chandramukhi 2, a sequel to the hit Tamil horror comedy film Chandramukhi. In the movie, she will play the role of a dancer in the king's court who was known for her beauty and dance skills. Additionally, she will be seen in Tejas, where she will portray the character of an Indian Air Force pilot. Kangana will also star in Emergency, a period drama film about the life of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, in which she will play the title role. This film marks her directorial debut. In the upcoming months, Kangana will also be seen in Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda and The Incarnation: Sita.
