Bollywood star heroine Kangana Ranaut has stepped into the shoes of Jayalalitha to act in the latter's biopic. Titled Thailavi, the shoot of this film started a couple of months back. Already, the team has successfully finished shooting the first schedule in Mysore. Now, they are gearing up to shift to Hyderabad to shoot the second schedule.
According to the latest reports, a few sets have already been erected in a studio in Hyderabad. The team of Thalaivi will soon land in the city and shoot here for about 25 straight days. Prakash Raj is essaying the role of Karunanidhi and Aravind Swamy is playing the role of MG Rama Chandran in this film. It is being directed by AL Vijay and produced jointly by Vishnu Induri and Sailesh R Singh. Vijayendra Prasad has penned the script for it.
Kangana Ranaut will don various getups in the films. She needs to get into physical transformation as well as the film deals with both the film and political journey of Jayalalitha. Already, the first look got a good response from the audience. The film got titled Jaya in Hindi. The makers are planning to release Thailavi simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi on July 26, 2020.
