Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut's 'Dhaakad' has suffered a huge setback at the box office. The film received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. In this case, the film was withdrawn from theaters.
Due to the failure of 'Dhakkad', the release of 'Tejas' has been postponed. According to Bollywood Hungama, the producers of the film, RSVP, have not decided to release the film directly in OTT. At the same time, some parts of 'Tejas' are being re-shot. According to the report, Kangana Ranaut's current box office records suggest that the film's OTT release will be profitable.
Reports had suggested Kangana Ranaut's next film 'Tejas' would have a direct OTT release. Reportedly, this is due to the failure of the big-budget film 'Dhaakkad'.
“Ronnie Screwvala and the RSVP team working on Tejas are still brainstorming about a direct to OTT release, they are yet to lock a platform and date. But currently, the consensus is that an OTT release will be beneficial to all parties, producer, actor, and director. They do not want to be caught surprised with a similar box office fate as Dhaakad and would want to secure their commercials;” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
But this is completely denied by the producer's RSVP. Producers said that 'Tejas' will have its release in theaters. It is set to release in theaters in October this year. Some parts of 'Tejas' are yet to be shot. After that, the producers told Bollywood Hungama that they have decided to release the film on October 5.
