Kangana Ranaut's sister and manager Rangoli Chandel is known for being outspoken on Twitter. She has raised her voice over many things, especially the unfair practices in the Bollywood industry. Once again, Rangoli slammed Bollywood celebrities over choosing surrogacy rather than adoption. After the news of Shilpa Shetty becoming a mother through surrogacy, Rangoli indirectly took a dig at her.
She wrote, "In the face of population explosion and environmental crisis many young women and young couples are letting go of their desires of being mothers or parents for what? For these rich and the famous who are not willing to adopt, why are they are making new babies in the lab? Why can’t they adopt babies who are dying of hunger and desperately need homes? Why selective parenting?"
"Of course bikau media won’t ask these questions. Now they are only lecturing gender of the embryo as well, these rich and famous will go to any length to flash a fake happily ever after pic. Fake affairs, fake marriages, fake parenting, " she added. However, she also appreciated Sushmita Sen for setting an example by adopting a child. "I salute Sushmita sen, a mother is a mother to every child not just strictly my gene carrying chromosomes type of mother. Media needs to encourage parents who go beyond their petty chromosomes type emotions and reach out to a longing little soul."
Later on, she also cleared that it was her way of promoting adoption rather than criticizing anyone. "Arrey bhai mujhe kyun phasa rahe ho? Surrogacy is a great option for people with medical complications. I feel it’s unfair if you are already biological parents and you already have children. Toh phir population explosion ke bare mein bhi socho bhai that’s all."
