Author and screenwriter Kanika Dhillon is gearing up for her upcoming Netflix film Haseen Dilruba. A few days ago, when the trailer to the much-anticipated film came out, screenwriter Navjot Gulati took to his Twitter to make backhanded comments regarding Dhillon's credibility. Earlier today, Kanika Dhillon took to Twitter to call out Navjot Gulati's sexist remarks about her. Taapsee Pannu who is the leading actor of the film Haseen Dilruba supported Dhillon's stance.

 
Navjot Gulati wrote, "If you want top billing as a Screenwriter in a trailer(something that should be the norm). You need to marry into the production house. Once the Writer becomes a family member, is treated like an Actor-Star. #Goals."
 
Navjot Gulati was hinting at Kanika Dhillon's writer's credits for Haseen Dilruba. The family in question is Kanika's husband Himanshu Sharma with whom she tied the knot earlier this year. Himanshu Sharma happens to be the co-producer of Haseen Dilruba. Reacting to Gulati's comments, Dhillon slammed him for his sexist comments that imply that she could not have possibly earned the credit.
