Singer Kanika Kapoor, who gained recognition for her songs Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, has been keeping a low profile for some time now. While Kanika’s absence led many to believe that she is battling depression, the singer herself recently came forward to clear the statement.
In a statement issued by her, the singer said that beginning now, the world should see the artiste, Kanika Kapoor. The singer said that although she is proud of getting known as the ‘Baby Doll’ singer, she doesn’t want that to become her identity. She also said that she has trained in music for 12 years, and is not an auto-tune singer.
Regarding her absence, Kanika said that she took some time off to be with her children, who are British citizens. Also, she realized that there was no need to be a part of the rush of showbiz. Interestingly, Kanika noted how many of her colleagues in B-Town kept calling her up, just to check if she is okay. She also said that she considered it brave of herself to take a break at the peak of her career.
