Kantara Makes 45 Crores-Allu Aravind Still Not Happy

Post the release of KGF, Kannada cinema has come into its own and has been churning out some really interesting films in the last years or so. One such film which has caught the imagination of many is the village drama Kantara enacted and directed by Rishab Shetty. The film is doing record business in Telugu states and is going super strong.

The film has crossed 45 crores gross and has become a huge hit in Telugu as well. The tickets for this film were sold out like hotcakes during the Diwali weekend and thanks to the holidays, the film has made good money as there are no big films this week, Kantara will hold its attention once again this weekend.

The word of mouth has been quite impressive. As a part of it, the bookings for the film picked up in Nizam in a decent manner. Seeing this, the makers have decided to once again speed up promotions and will be touring the theaters in the coming days. Allu Aravind has bagged the dubbing rights of the film and he has planned a key promotional event in the days to come.  This will give the film a new push at the ticketing windows.

The village drama has been made on a big scale by Hombale Films which did not promote the film well in Telugu. If they would have done that the openings would have been even better. The film also stars Kishore, Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, Naveen D Padli, and Pramod Shetty in key roles. Anjaneesh Loknath is the music director of the film.
