Movie fans are very upset as Varaha Roopam was removed from the movie and replaced with a fresh version. Many admirers expressed their opinions about the topic on Twitter.

After receiving a lawsuit for plagiarism from the well-known Malayalam band Thaikkudam Bridge, the Kozhikode Sessions Court imposed an order prohibiting the creators from playing the song "Varaha Roopam." All the main streaming services have blocked the song as well. The Kantara movie was accused of plagiarism on October 25 by Thaikudam Bridge, a well-known Keralan rock band. The music band claimed that their song Navarasam was plagiarised in the movie Varaha Roopam.

The band posted a statement on social media with the following words: "We would like our listeners to know that Thaikkudam Bridge is in no way or form affiliated with "Kantara". The unavoidable similarities between our IP "Navarasam" and "Varaha Roopam" in terms of audio is, therefore, a blatant infringement of copyright laws. From our standpoint the line between "Inspired" and "Plagiarized" is distinct and indisputable and therefore, we will be seeking legal action against the creative team responsible for this. There has been no acknowledgment of our rights over the content and the song is propagated as an Original piece of work by the movie's creative team."

"Amazon Prime has withdrawn the plagiarised version of our song N A V A R A S A M from the movie KANTARA," the band stated on their social media account following the withdrawal of Varaha Roopam from OTT.
