Legendary actress Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her entry into the films with 2018 romantic tragedy Dhadak. Though the film remained as an average venture at the box office, it brought a lot of accolades to the young actress. After Dhadak, Jahnvi hasn't come up with any feature film yet but she has acted in the recently released Netflix anthology film Ghost Stories. Janhvi played the lead role in the segment directed by Zoya Akhtar.
Popular director-producer Karan Johar, who has also introduced Janhvi, said that he is very happy that Janhvi's second outing was with Zoya. Speaking in an interview, Karan stated generally mainstream actors stay away from the anthology films but Jahnvi always admired Zoya's work and was dying to work with her. Finally, she got one in the form of Ghost Stories.
Karan opined that Janhvi brought her best because of Zoya's motivation. He stated that the star kids who get termed as 'nepo-kids' prove their talent with these kinds of performances. Karan added that Janhvi is a hardworking girl and that will make her reach heights in the future. The Kapoor girl is now prepping up for the release of her next film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. She is also acting in other films like Dostana 2 and Takht.
