A lot of celebrities postponed their weddings as well but Kannada hero Nikhil Gowda, the son of Karnataka former chief minister HD Kumara Swamy decided not to postpone his wedding. Initially, the family of Kumaraswamy wanted the wedding to take place in a grand manner. But, because of the situation in the state, they decided to carry out the wedding in a low-key affair. They have ensured all the safety measures and followed the guidelines, says the sources. To avoid the risk of getting the infection, the family members have screened all the guests at the wedding. They even maintained proper social distancing.
Gowdas’ farmhouse at Ramanagara is the venue for the wedding, which is approximate. 50 km from Bengaluru. A team of doctors is also at the wedding.
Nikhil got engaged to Revathi on 10 February. The engagement was a grand affair and the families had announced the wedding to take place grandly. But, the change of plans came into action at the last minute. Kumaraswamy has officially sought permission from the Karnataka government to conduct the wedding following all the norms of the COVID-19 lockdown.
