Karni Sena is back again to protest against Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj

Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj by Chandraprakash Dwivedi is facing troubles. Karni Sena led by its president Mahipal Singh Makrana is back at it again. Earlier they protested against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat (2017) starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Shahid Kapoor. They did it over the accuracy of historical facts. Now, they are targeting Prithviraj.

They protested the film when it was being shot in Jamwaramgarh village in Jaipur. They demanded a script read from the director Chandraprakash Dwivedi to make sure all the facts are right. They halted the shoot and caused hindrance.

Dwivedi assured them that there was no tampering or tweaking of the facts. Though, members of Kari Sena demanded a written statement even after Dwivedi tried convincing them. Akshay Kumar luckily was not shooting the day they organized this protest.

Makrana said, "We held discussions with the director, Chandraprakash, regarding the film's script today. We told him that no tampering with historic facts will be tolerated".

He further added, "Prithviraj Chauhan should not be portrayed as a lover in the film. The director has assured us that there is no such thing in the movie but we want a written assurance."

Kumar had called the film as one of his most ambitious projects. And also one he is the most excited. He is playing the role of Prithviraj Chauhan, the Rajput ruler.

It stars Manushi Chhillar, Manav Vij and Ashutosh Rana. It will release around Diwali 2020.
