Popular Tamil actor Karthi recently earned applaudes for his performance as Vanthiyathevan in Mani Ratnam's pan-Indian blockbuster "Ponniyin Selvan 1." Karthi's upcoming movie is Sardar. It will be released this Diwali. The movie features him in the lead role. The theatrical debut of the spy thriller is barely one week away. The actor is travellimg across the country to promote the movie.
'Sardar' is a crucial movie in his acting career, Karthi said during one of the promotional events. He claimed that he had the chance to try out new outfits because of the movie. He pointed out that several actors in the film industry, from senior Sivaji to his brother Suriya, have attempted taking on roles that require complete wardrobe changes. Karthi plays two characters in the movie. One is a spy named and the other is an attention-seeking cop named Vijay Prakash.
Karthi also said that ‘Sardar’ is a spy thriller. The film makers did not want to keep that confidential. It was because the film is different from the movies that have been released before.
In the trailer, the character is introduced as a master of disguises. In the movie, Chunky Panday, Raashi Khanna, Laila, and Rajisha Vijayan all have significant roles. Raashi Khanna brings her return to the big screen after a 16-year absence. After the two hugely successful movies "Irumbu Thirai" and "Hero," this will be filmmaker PS Mithran's third film. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music for the film.
