Karthi to play two roles in PS Mithran's Sardar

In a surpirse announcement, Karthi informed fans on social media yesterdday that he will be teaming up with director PS Mithran for his upcoming film. On March 26, the title and the first-look poster were unveiled yesterday. The film has been titled Sardar and he will be playing a never seen before avatar in the film. According to a latest report, Karthi will play two roles in the film, which is said to be an espionage thriller. The makers teased the fans by sharing a Morse code to announce the first look poster of the film.

Director PS Mithran, in a recent interview, with a popular portal, said, "At its core, it’s an action thriller, but we have a cop and a spy in the thick of the plot. The film deals with a lot of issues and will be packed with exciting moments. We’ve erected a massive set in a city studio. We will be filming in Chennai, Mysore and then, Tenkasi. GV Prakash has already composed two songs for the film. Simran, Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan have been roped in to play the female leads in the film. This is Rajisha's second film in Tamil after Mari Selvaraj's Karnan.
