Kasautii Zindagii Kay's Prerna Sharma aka Erica Fernades feels strongly about the use of social media today. The actress who often shares her glamorous pictures on her social media handle is currently using it to spread awareness about Coronavirus. Erica is trying her best to play her part as a celebrity influenced and is wearing people about the importance of sanitization. She posted some videos tutoring people on how to sanitize groceries and items brought from outside.

In an interview with a leading daily, she stressed the importance of Social media in today's time. Erica said, "We should feel privileged to be living in times where we have easy access to almost everything because of the digital world. Social media is actually a boon in many ways, and one of the most helpful mediums, we have our hands on right now. Though what I am sadly seeing is people not utilizing this platform in the right manner. There are panic-driven forward messages and photos being circulated all over. And half of which contain incorrect information or half information which is even worse!" A few days back she also revealed the reason why she's not posting her makeup videos lately. For the ones who don't know, Erica is an excellent makeup artist and runs her own Youtube channel. However, she says that she wants to utilize this time spreading awareness rather than posting makeup or cooking videos. Meanwhile, the shooting of the show Kasautii is put to a standstill and a rerun of the old episodes is being shown to the audience.
