Karthir and Divya Bharathi have been roped in to play lead roles in director Shiv Mohaa's upcoming film, Aasai. The film's title has been borrowed from Ajith's superhit film of the same name. Aasai is an adaptation of Malayalam superhit film, Ishq. The film, which has music composed by Revaa has been shot in Chennai.
Producers Ramesh Pillai, Sudhan Sundaram & G. Jayaram, says, “It’s been a great experience working with the young and vibrant team, which has completed this project amidst a hectic schedule in a short span. Since most of the technical crewmembers have been college friends and had already worked together in the movie ‘Zero’, the understanding and compatibility among them were perfect. It's great to see their commitment and perfection in sticking to deadlines. Kathir has already become the heartthrob of fans beyond Tamil territories for his prowess performance in Suzhal. He has delivered a remarkable performance in this movie, which will be appreciated. Divya Bharathi is a fabulous artiste, who has achieved immense stardom in a short span.
