Kannada television's popular name Kiran Raj is all set to make his big-screen debut. The film Jeevnane Natka Samy will have its theatrical release on August 19. Raju Bhandari Rajavartha directs the film. Reportedly, the film is based on a Mahabharatha tale that examines a man's perspective on the universe.
The film has won various awards in film festivals around the world. The film was selected to feature in the Kolkata film festival, along with film festivals in Miami and London.
Along with popular TV serial actor Kiran Raj in the lead, and also features Shree Harsha, Pavithra Kotian, and Anika Ramya in pivotal roles.
Despite the subject, the filmmaker explained to Entertainment Weekly that the film is a comedy-drama. It tries to delve into the psyche of parents of nine children competing in a reality program.
Director Raju says, “The film begins with the mindset of the parents of nine children who get the chance to compete in a reality show named Jeevnane Nataka Samy, and how a few take shortcuts to win the show.”
Though the film’s trailer doesn’t say much about the character of Kiran Raj, it promises to be an emotional flick. However, little is known about Kiran Raj's role or personality, yet we may expect something special.
