Kishore spills the beans about working with Mani Ratnam in Ponniyin Selvan

Mani Ratnam has been dreaming about adapting popular Tamil literary novel Ponniyin Selvan into a film. However, he couldn't do it in 2010 because of budget and technical constraints. However, now, the actor has completed the film, which will release in two parts. The teaser of Ponniyin Selvan was unveiled a few days ago and since then it has been the talk of the town. Kishore, who has played several iconic roles, will be seen as Ravi Dasan in the film. Ravi Dasan is one of the antagonists in the period drama. In an interview with a daily, Kishore opened up about his role and shared his experience of working with him.

Speaking to The Times of India, Kishore said, "It was Mani Ratnam sir's long-pending dream. I don't think that anyone else could have narrated this story, as the canvas itself is so huge. I am very surprised to be given such a pivotal role, as I have seen so many big actors on the set come in for small roles. So, it is wonderful for him to have brought me on board for a crucial role. It was great to work with him, as he would lead the way in inspiring us.
