Krishna Marimuthu, who directed Naga Chaitanya's Yudham Sharanam, scored his first hit in Tamil

Tamil director Krishna Marimuthu made his debut with Telugu film Yuddham Sharanam. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles, this film was a failure at the box office. After a gap of more than two and a half years, Krishna Marimuthu made his second film, this time in Tamil. Titled as Dharala Prabhu, this film has hit the screens today. Right from show one, it is getting a positive response from the audience and aiming to become a hit at the box office.

Dharala Prabhu is an official remake of Hindi hit film Vicky Donor. This film features Harish Kalyan, Tanya Hope, and Vivekh in the lead roles. The critics have opined that the makers adapted the film with Tamil sensibilities and made it an interesting watch. They also assured that even families can enjoy the movie. Thus, the film might do well in the coming days as well.

Vicky Donor was earlier remade in Telugu as Naruda Donoruda but failed to get appreciation from the viewers. But looks like Dharala Prabhu ticked the right boxes with the audience and is all set to become a success at the box office. Screen Scene Media Entertainment has bankrolled this project.

In the Telugu version of the film, Sumanth played the lead role. Annapurna Studios produced the film. The movie released amidst a huge positive buzz but surprisingly, the movie failed to rin in the collections at the box-office. Thankfully, the Tamil version impressed the audiences.
