Kriti Sanon, who will be featured as Sita in 'Adipurush,' has begun dubbing for the project. Kriti took to social media to share photographs from her dubbing studio, where the screenplay for 'Adipurush' is seen alongside a notepad.
Kriti captioned the photo, "Get Set Dub." The music from the film's teaser, 'Jai Shree Ram,' can be heard in the backdrop of the post.
'Adipurush,' directed by Om Raut, also stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan in lead parts. The Indian epic Ramayana inspires the story. Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the film, while Saif plays the antagonist Lankesh.
Since its teaser was released, the film has been dogged by criticism. The teaser received a lot of flak for showing Saif's furious Ravana with a beard and a buzz cut. Many people across the country chastised the filmmakers for supposedly infringing on their religious beliefs. In fact, the Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti, a Hindu seers organization, has requested the development of a Sanatan Censor Board, citing incorrect depictions of Hindu Gods and Goddesses in Bollywood films.
In addition, a motion to delay the film's release was recently filed in a Delhi court. The lawsuit claimed that 'Adipurush' inappropriately depicted Lord Rama and Hanuman because they wore leather straps. Advocate Raj Gaurav filed the complaint against producer Bhushan Kumar and director Om Raut.
