Ram Gopal Varma made a few sensational horror films in the past. Movies like Raat, Bhoot and Kaun show his mettle in handling the horror and thriller subjects. Juhi Chawla says the Coronavirus lockdown will teach Bollywood that we don't need 150 people on set for a shoot

The Coronavirus pandemic has not just changed the way people live but also how they work and function. The Hindi film industry has also seen major changes in the last couple of months. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Juhi Chawla has said that a major change will also come in the number of people on any film set.

Speaking about the future of the film industry the 54-year-old actor said, "Like we realized in life that we don’t need so many frills and fancies, we might also realize that on a set we might not needd 150 people, and essentially make the film with just half the number. It could be that kind of realizations.”

The actress also recalled an incident from her past. She said, "I was telling my family about the times when we traveled abroad for a shoot. Here, in India, on a set, we had a crew of about 100-115 people. When I went to shoot Darr (1993) in Switzerland, we had literally 32 people. We went there for a month, and 50 percent of it was shot there, maybe more. Could you tell the difference on-screen?"

"There’s an assistant, who wants another assistant, who wants one spot boy. Of course, there are projects that may require such numbers, but not always," she added.

Juhi Chawla also admitted that she was unsure of what to feel when the lockdown began. However now as time goes on Juhi is much more secure. She concluded saying, "... as days went by, I realized that even with just the basics, you can actually get back quite comfortable. I soon started to enjoy the fact that I didn’t have to do so many unnecessary things. Within a few days into the lockdown, the air in Mumbai was clean; it never looked greener, there were birds every morning. I was in bliss."

Actor Swara Bhaskar says Prasoon Joshi is one of the finest writers in all of Bollywood

Swara Bhaskar recently appeared in the Amazon Prime Video show Rasbhari. The show has received a positive word of mouth from multiple critics already. Indian Censor Board chief Prasoon Joshi, however, isn't too happy with Swara Bhaskar's recent show. Prasoon Joshi raised his objections against a particular scene where a young girl is seen dancing in front of adults.

Initially, Swara responded by politely saying that Joshi perhaps misunderstood the scene. Now in a recent interview with Rajeev Masand Swara Bhaskar has called Prasoon Joshi one of the finest writers in all of Bollywood. The actress said, "I cannot believe Prasoon sir didn’t understand the meaning of the scene. He’s one of our finest writers, he’s given us some of our finest work. I have too much respect and regard for him to believe that he didn’t understand what that scene meant.”

"The purpose of the scene is to demonstrate how adults and society sexualize children, and the second thing is how subcontinental parenting we give our girls and boys different values,” she added.

Previously Swara had defended the scene saying, "Respected sir, maybe you are misunderstanding the scene. The way you are describing the scene, it is just the opposite. The child is dancing at her own will. Her father feels embarrassed after seeing this. The dance is not provocative. She is simply dancing and has no idea about how society will sexualize her too. This is what the scene shows. #Rashbhari."

Rasbhari also stars Ayushmaan Saxena and Neelu Kohli in pivotal roles.
