Almost two weeks after the movie's debut, a PIL against it has been submitted to the Kolkata High Court.

The Kolkata High Court has received a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) against Lal Singh Chaddha, according to reports in India Today. In Bengal, it is demanded that the movie be completely banned due to a peace disturbance. Additionally, it is reported that the case will be heard on August 23 in Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava's court. This Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan film is demanded to be completely banned in Bengal by the PIL. If the ban is not implemented, it has also been demanded that police officers be stationed outside each theater because what is depicted in the movie has the potential to undermine Bengal's peace and order. The PIL was submitted by attorney Nazia Elahi Khan. She feels that the movie does not adequately portray the Army. There have been circulating articles claiming that the film's underperformance has caused the distributors of Laal Singh Chaddha to incur significant losses. The film's producers and distributors provided clarification on the subject, denying rumours that some distributors wanted payment for the film's poor performance. The makers stated that the situation is entirely different.
