Lakshmi’s NTR continues its roar: Record collection in Telangana and overseas
Despite holding the release in Andhra Pradesh which is said to be the collections box for Tollywood, Ram Gopal Varma’s most sensational movie Lakshmi’s NTR is continuing to sweep the box office and is enjoying the fruits of hardship it came through to hit the screens.
The film is running successfully in Telangana and other regions despite the threats from anonymous people that they would attack and destroy the theatres. Though it faced few critics for over glorifying Lakshmi Parvathi and for showing Chandrababu Naidu in a bad light, the film and its bold director are being appreciated for the genuine attempt made to show the naked truths behind legendary actor-turned-politician NTR's life.
The film opened to positive talk from the USA premieres and the same continued in Telangana as well. There are house fulls in many areas of Telangana. The day one figure is expected to be the best in RGV's career in the last few years.
‘Suryakantham’ which was released on the same day has however ended up with average talk with lagging second half. ‘Cheekati Gadhilo Chitakkottudu’ is another flick that was released in the previous week and has received an average talk.
